Solemn Assembly is a foreign term to us today. By definition, it is a sober, no nonsense, gathering together of God’s people, to address personal and national struggles and sin through a dedicated time of fasting, prayer and repentance. Unfortunately, in this age of hyper-individualism, we attempt to make everything, including sin, a ‘private’ matter.
